Dr Merrin Pearse is a prominent member of the Hong Kong Sustainability Community. Working as a freelance consultant for Corporations and NGOs Merrin has gained a reputation for being able to offer unique insights to his clients on how to reduce their environmental impact and improve their staff’s interest in making a change for good. Shortly after Merrin came to Hong Kong 10 years ago he began working part-time with Friends of the Earth (HK) on their corporate engagement programmes, particularly around roadside air pollution. He soon realised the many people in HK are unaware of the impact they have on the environment from their day to day choices. He saw that facilitating discussions between different sectors of the community would help raise sustainability awareness. Today he hosts corporate stakeholder engagement programmes and organises the monthly HK Green Drinks event, as well as being a board member of a number charities in HK.
