Melanie currently leads learning and instruction at General Assembly across our APAC campuses. She has over 5 years of experience in managing over 30+ instructional staff through hiring, onboarding, coaching, professional development, and retention of the best instructors in tech, business, data, and design. She oversees the production of all GA's full-time and part-time courses in Australia and Singapore ensuring that every course is delivered with an industry-relevant curriculum and with the highest quality of expert instructors. Along with her team, she has successfully launched over 100+ full-time courses and 100+ part-time courses and works closely with General Assembly's government partners to grow tech talents in Singapore.

Prior to joining GA, Melanie was a secondary school visual arts teacher with Singapore's Ministry of Education (MOE) where she was regularly involved with research and curriculum design. Prior to working and living in Singapore, she completed her Bachelor of Education from York University and her Bachelor of Arts in Arts Management from the University of Toronto. She is passionate about learning and teaching and believes that education should be accessible for everyone.

In her downtime, Melanie loves to cook and explore new cocktail bars.
