Megan is an abstract artist in NYC, who is inspired by natural beauty, seascapes, and florals. Her work can be found at www.artbymegan.com and @artbymegan (Instagram). Megan lives and works in Brooklyn NYC with her family and ill-mannered beagle. Her paintings are each a memory, so often, she visits a place and immediately looks around and thinks, "I will paint this moment". Whether it is a beach scene, beautiful flowers in a tote bag on the subway, or a simple moment walking in nature, she collects memories and turns them into my paintings.
Megan's works reflect an attitude of experimentation and a curiosity regarding the beauty created by the transparency and overlapping of ideas. Inspiration for all of her artwork comes from waterscapes, sunsets, bright colors in nature, and the silhouettes created by extreme light or darkness. She absolutely loves working as a painter and is constantly exploring new ideas in her work.
