Mayly Tao is 29 years old and a Santa Monica native. She went to UCSD with a Communications degree. She loves traveling the world and obsessed with eating food. She’s been featured on the Food Network twice for her "Waffle Donut Hybrid" creation. Her donuts have debuted globally on print on the American Airlines magazine as well as physically during the Virgin & Alaska merge, (her bacon glaze donuts visited 200 countries!) Her parents who started DK’s Donuts were survivors of the Khmer Rouge. Mayly’s great uncle Ted, known as the donut king, opened up hundreds of donut shops for Cambodian refugees in the ‘70s and ‘80s. She has self-proclaimed herself as the Donut Princess, and has a donut bouquet delivery company. She currently has 85K followers on @dksdonuts Instagram. She was recently featured on a Tastemade takeover for National Glaze Donut Day.
