Max Harper is the co-founder of Simmetri, an accessible tool for aspiring 3D/VR/AR artists, storytellers and creators. Max shapes the product and business direction.
Max and Simmetri co-founder, Amedeo Mapelli, won the 2017 SXSW VR Hackathon with a prototype tool, built on Simmetri, for creating mixed-reality for live performance. He also won the 2016 MIT Hacking Arts Hackathon, delivering "Harmony Space" an augmented reality app which spatializes musical frequencies. In this work he draws on past experience as a videographer, director, producer, choreographer, stage magician, scientist, 3D designer, and entrepreneur.
In addition to founding Simmetri is an alumn-advisor of MIT Hacking Arts, a creative festival and hackathon at the intersection of art, technology and humanity, held annually at the MIT Media Lab.
