Matthew joined Grimshaw in 2015 as a Design Leader in the Melbourne studio. He is a registered architect in Victoria, and brings to the practice eight years of professional experience in the retail and commercial workplace sectors, mixed use and multi-unit residential developments, and civic buildings in Australia and internationally.
He is currently leading the development of a 40-storey commercial office tower at 477 Collins Street in Melbourne. At Grimshaw’s Melbourne studio, the recent addition of a VR lab has been used to engage with various stakeholders in an immersive environment, allowing them to visualise and test the project.
Matthew teaches a course in parametric design at the University of Melbourne’s MSD and regularly contributes to a global community of architects and designers who engage with the latest digital tools to unlock new design processes and outcomes.
