Matt Filion is a co-founder and CTO of Reeelit, and a technical adviser for startups in the LA area.
He got his technical start at 8 years old with a Tandy Color Computer 3, manually typing out sheets of code to play a single game. His professional start happened a little over a decade later, at Farmers Insurance, as a front end developer doing cross browser compatibility between Netscape 4 and IE 4. Good riddance to both! Since then, he has worked up from a jr. engineer at a Fortune 500 company, to a CTO at startups. Apparently, he likes being a big fish in a small pond, rather than a small fish in a big pond. With no education or awards to speak of, his ego forces him to think that it's the result of years spent with head down laser focus on learning, building, evolving, helping others, and most importantly, that all those shiny things 'just don't matter to him'.
Matt is actively engaged in the 'serverless' technology. He spends a good deal of his time learning, adapting and implementing its capabilities; volunteering development time to improve frameworks; and sharing is experience with it through presentations or answering questions. He's always happy to share his experiences or debate its merits.
