Matt Dowling
Director, The Freelancer Club
Matt Dowling, Director of The Freelancer Club, started the company based on his own journey. A freelance fashion photographer of over 12 years, Matt managed to survive the early stages without business experience, advice or support. Through many challenges, including an unpaid £11,000 invoice, Matt developed through adversity and came out the other side as a successful international photographer. Realising that there was a lack of support for creative freelancers and that too much talent was failing before they had a chance to develop, he put down the camera and launched The Freelancer Club. Providing essential support through networking, development and paid work opportunities, Freelancer Club members can promote their services, network on and offline, access Freelancing Masterclasses, speak to industry mentors, develop their skill set and apply to paid freelance jobs.
