Dr. Maryam Zaringhalam is a molecular biologist by training who traded in her pipettes for the world of science policy and advocacy. Maryam is a Senior Producer for the Story Collider, which brings true, personal stories about science through live shows and a weekly podcast. She also serves on the leadership of 500 Women Scientists, working to make science open, inclusive, and accessible by promoting women scientists in leadership. Her writing has appeared in Slate, The Washington Post, and Scientific American.
