Marsel started his adventure in tech as the Online Editor of his university paper, the All State. Before graduating from university, he enlisted as a medic in the United States Army National Guard. While serving, he also worked at Tennova Healthcare assisting with design and media layout.

Currently, he is a Web Developer at NJI Media, a creative agency in Alexandria, Virginia. He also manages his own development studio, Syzygy Code, LLC where he designs and codes websites and apps for small businesses, nonprofits, and start-ups.
