Marisa Liao is a Talent Acquisition Leader with over 11 years of industry experience. She started her recruitment career in one of the leading recruitment agencies, Aerotek Staffing, where she scaled their financial services business in the Bay Area. In 2013, Marisa spent over 6 years at Facebook splitting her time between Menlo Park, California and Singapore. She started her career as a Technical Sourcer, then transitioned to an APAC Recruiter role, and finally a Recruitment Lead managing the NA Marketing Science Recruitment team. In 2019, Marisa joined Deliveroo as the first Head of Recruitment in APAC and established the recruitment team in the region. She was then promoted in 2020 as the Head of Global Business Recruitment. She scaled the global TA team from 20 to 60 team members in one year while managing remotely across 10 markets.

Marisa is an #IamRemarkable facilitator and established the program at Deliveroo with over 20+ facilitators worldwide running workshops each month. #IamRemarkable is a Google initiative empowering women and other underrepresented groups to celebrate their achievements in the workplace and beyond. Marisa is also an NLP Master Practitioner and career coach. She looks at a person's behaviors, thoughts, emotions, and language, and their outcomes to help her team and clients attain high performance and lead a more fulfilling career.

She holds an MBA in International Business from St.Mary’s Twickenham and a Bachelor from the University of California, where she majored in Sociology in Organizational Studies and minored in Spanish.
