Maria is the Head of Open Innovation at the Digital Catapult, a national centre to accelerate digital products and ideas to market. In her role, Maria leads on the strategic development, planning and delivery of "Open Innovation as a Service" activities.
Previously, she was the Innovation Programme Manager at Cisco CREATE, Cisco's Internet of Everything Innovation Centre in London, and worked on innovation projects such as intelligent lighting, smart stations and connected healthcare.
Maria has an extensive background in innovation management and strategic communications, and has written a book Art/Commerce: The Convergence of Art and Marketing in Contemporary Culture which analyses how creativity and innovation are becoming core assets of contemporary economies.
