Maria Pereda Ehrlich started her career in Morgan Stanley, in the Institutional Sales & Trading division in New York. While at Morgan Stanley, Maria was a trader in the short-selling equities desk, facilitating short selling trades and supporting relationships with hedge fund clients. She covered different trading books, including Canada, Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore.
In 2017, Maria joined TheVentureCity Fund, a global early stage venture capital fund with offfices in Miami and Madrid. Since TheVentureCity’s inception, Maria has been involved in fund structuring, fundraising, investment strategy, due diligence and deal sourcing. In 3 years, Maria along with her team
have deployed $35 million in 22 early stage companies in Europe, United States and Latin America. Raised in Madrid and currently living in Miami, Maria is a graduate of Babson College.
