Mari Tomunen is a Blockchain and Fintech associate in Sullivan & Worcester's New York office. She advises blockchain and cryptocurrency companies with legal and regulatory issues and proceedings, most commonly those related to securities and commodities law. She has helped clients through dozens of successful Initial Coin Offerings ranging from $10 million to $200 million.
Previously, Mari served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Denny Chin of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, NY. She has also worked as an international corporate tax lawyer at KPMG Oy Ab, Finland, and as a research assistant to SEC Commissioner Robert J. Jackson, Jr. when he was a Professor at Columbia Law School, NY.
Mari graduated from Fordham University School of Law with magna cum laude, and served as a staff member on Fordham Journal of Corporate and Financial Law.
