Margaret Scott made the switch from product manager to engineer in 2013. She began by teaching herself to code with Python before enrolling in the Startup Institute, a bootcamp with a Ruby on Rails track. Since then she has worked in full stack roles at start-ups of varying degrees of size and maturity. Her current role as Senior Software Engineer at Mentor Collective is primarily Rails and Ember. Margaret has been a contributor at PyLadies, Boston Ruby Women, RailsBridge Boston, and Student Insights at Code for Boston.
