Margaret Hiden

UX Instructor, The Home Depot

Atlanta

Before joining The Home Depot, Margaret Hiden served as a Senior UX Designer on ADP's Next Generation payroll team and previously worked as a UX Strategist at User Insight and SunTrust. As a paper prototyping evangelist and user-centered designer, I believe in failing fast and failing hard so I can apply authentic insights and iterate quickly in order to create the most effective designs. One size does not fit all and every problem presents a unique solution. By implementing this mindset at the core of my process, I leave all assumptions aside and approach each problem without bias in order to create valuable products.

An experienced professional, I utilize my experience as a professor of art and design and practicing fine artist. My love for problem solving and desire to connect and engage with others has brought me to pursue a career as a user experience designer. Here, I can implement my skills in synthesizing insights and communicating concepts both visually and verbally.

I find the field of UX design to be diverse, challenging, always evolving, filled with opportunity for creativity and a breadth of fresh air! When I'm not flowing and mapping, you can find me chasing the sun and cyanotyping with donkeys on deserted islands.
