Maia started her professional career as a CPA. After a stint working in corporate tax, she looked around the world to further define how to make a meaningful contribution. She started a nonprofit teaching kids tinkering and engineering skills. During this time and process, she discovered the opportunity to reach an even broader audience through software engineering. Maia is now a Senior Software Engineer and the Front End Chapter Lead at Healthgrades, bringing years of technical acumen, project management , and leadership experience to the table. When she picks her head up from the code, you can find Maia working on creative projects with her two children, fly fishing, or otherwise enjoying the mountains with her husband and two Spanish Water Dogs.
