Lydia has maintained the investigative perspective of her physics training through 15+ years experience intersecting education, science, and data analysis (with a bit of rock climbing instruction for good measure). She completed the Data Science Immersive in winter 2019 to integrate a new skill set for her interest in continuous-improvement processes, particularly in social sector organizations.
Since completing the course Lydia has been freelancing, with roles including Data Engineer at Neighbourlytics, a start-up creating a better way for city makers to make informed decisions, Instructional Assistant for General Assembly's Analytics Immersive, and continuing to work as a consultant and trainer for The PEAR Institute supporting data-driven improvement in STEM education organizations.
Additionally, Lydia is a passionate advocate for workforce diversity, currently serving as the Sponsorship Director for Go Girl Go for IT, an initiative encouraging girls to consider careers in tech and STEM fields.
