Lucy Flores is a former Nevada State Assemblywoman and candidate for Congress. The daughter of immigrants, Lucy grew up in a challenging community and experienced many hardships. She worked her way through UNLV Law School and ran for office to represent the community she grew up in. Upon her election in 2010, Lucy became the first Latina elected to the Nevada legislature. She was promoted to a leadership position prior to the start of the 2013 legislative session, serving as and Assistant Majority Whip and also served as Vice-Chair of the Nevada Hispanic Legislative Caucus. Lucy continues to be a political leader serving as a founding board member of Our Revolution; a national political advocacy organization founded by Senator Bernie Sanders, and also provides political commentary on national media outlets. Lucy currently serves as Vice President of Public Affairs at mitú, a digital media company.
