Melbourne
Lorraine Tighe is the Smart City and Innovation Program Manager at City of Melbourne. She has led a number of strategic initiatives to enhance Melbourne’s reputation as a smart city, including open data, city Wi-Fi, and the IBM Smarter Cities Challenge. She also co-founded CityLab, City of Melbourne’s innovation lab which prototypes and tests new ideas and city services with the community.
Lorraine has worked in technology-related roles for 20 years, spanning private and public sectors here and in Europe. She has broad experience across program and project management, relationship and vendor management, IT governance, information management, and for the last three years has been working in the smart cities space.
Lorraine has a degree in Business, a postgraduate in IT and has studied Strategic Foresight and Innovation Management through Swinburne executive education.
