Boston
Liz Morningstar is the CEO of the Boston Public Market Association, the developer and operator of the Boston Public Market, which opened this July 2015. The Market is an indoor, year-round, 28,000 square foot retail space located in downtown Boston in the ground floor of the Haymarket T-station building along the Rose Kennedy Greenway.
The Market is home to 38 permanent vendors selling everything from fresh fruits and vegetables, to meat, seafood, cheese, milk, and prepared foods. The Boston Public Market is the only all locally sourced market of its kind in the United States – everything originates or is produced in New England.
Prior to her role at the Boston Public Market, Morningstar was a Senior Advisor to Governor Patrick and the state’s Secretary of Cabinet Affairs, advising cabinet members on the policy development. Previously, Morningstar served in several Clinton Administration posts including press aide to Vice President Al Gore.
Morningstar has a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master’s Degree from Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs.
