    Ligeia Zeruto is a Global Alliance leader at Amazon Web Services and a US Army Reservist, serving at the 75th Innovation Command. Ligeia served 14 years on active duty as a counterintelligence and cyber-warfare officer. Her final assignment was at the US Cyber Command and National Security Agency. From their inception in 2012, Ligeia was integral in establishing the US DoD Cyber Protection Teams as a workforce developer and certified Mission Commander. Ligeia and her teams designed computer network operations planning and workforce development frameworks leading to the establishment of the Cyber National Mission Force and defensive team operational standards. She was a contributor to the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Workforce Framework Version 2.0, volunteers with Girls Who Code and No Exceptions, and was appointed as a County Commissioner in 2012 for the Howard County Commission for Veterans and Military Families, focusing on veteran employment and military children education issues.

    She is a 1999 graduate of Furman University with a BA in Political Science. In 2010, she received an MA in Public Preparedness (DHS Health Cyber) from the Pennsylvania State University, has completed Chinese Studies at Johns Hopkins SAIS, and Macroeconomics from the London School of Economics.
