Austin
Layne Lauritzen has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1980. He started his own firm in Austin, Texas in 1985 and began to develop a concentration in the music industry. Currently, over half of his client base consists of music and other entertainment-related clients. He is locally and regionally recognized as having a "niche" in this area and has developed an expertise in many aspects of the business issues facing music professionals. He has served on many music industry seminar panels in the Austin area through such organizations as South by Southwest (SXSW), Artist Legal & Accounting Assistance of Austin (ALAA), the Austin Music Foundation, the annual Entertainment Law Institute seminars hosted by the Texas State Bar, and seminars hosted by the Austin chapter of Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. Layne previously served as treasurer and board member of the SIMS Foundation, a non-profit organization that has offered low-cost mental health services to the music community for over 15 years.
