My name is Lauren, I am the face behind Ochre. The designer and creator of each and every piece of jewellery. The encouraging, and slightly sarcastic (I think it’s the Dutch in me) teacher of all Ochre’s Pottery Workshops. I am lead by my heart, and tend to not stop to think things over first… typical Aries. I love each and every part that comes with Ochre… Well maybe not every part, but I am still grateful for it all.
Transitioning from an Interior Design degree, where I immersed myself in studios in both ceramics and silversmithing... And you could say, a lack of Interior design subjects. I now have surrendered to my true passion in the art of handmade ceramic sculpture and jewellery, I work to collaborate both mediums while taking inspiration from the nature around me.
To me, Ochre’s jewellery is about detailing the subtle beauty, in both material and method, as they blend together.
Making each and every piece completely unique.
