Lalitha Wemel is currently the Regional Director of Community for Asia Pacific at Techstars; the worldwide network that helps entrepreneurs succeed. Since 2015, she has led partnerships, programming, and startup ecosystem development across the region to support the growth of local entrepreneurs and their communities. Lalitha works extensively with leading community builders, corporate & government partners across the region in developing strategy, executing corporation innovation programs, and leading over 300 startup growth activities, annually.

Her work with Techstars across the last 6 years has allowed her to impact thousands of early-stage entrepreneurs and founders in taking their ideas from inspiration to reality, leveraging technology, education, and network. Google For Startups, Temasek, and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) are some of the partners she has worked with in Asia Pacific.

As a passionate advocate for female empowerment, Lalitha proudly leads Techstars Global Startup Weekend Women program series; a series of weekend programs focused on creating more exposure, leaders, and opportunities for women in tech. Lalitha is also the co-host of the startup & wellness podcast, Happy Messy Humans; where she leads honest, funny & deep conversations with people about the messy pursuit of happiness in startup life. Lalitha has a background in consulting, media, communications, and design. Most recently, she has been developing work and programs to build impactful team culture in startups.
