Hi there! My name is Kisira Hill. I am many things — a cultural and biological anthropologist, graphic designer, hospitality industry professional, bartender, content creator and local Chicago Gemini.
In 2016 I left the west coast for Chicago, where I found my passion for food and beverage spaces. With my work, I look to bring the academic and the hospitality worlds together through event curation and creative content that bridges our contemporary understanding of the food and beverage industries with historical context and cultural critique. This has manifested through participating in "industry" focused conferences and events discussing topics from intersectionality & inclusion in hospitality spaces, ancestral trauma, the historical contributions of BIPOC peoples to the hospitality industry, and beyond.
