Kira MacLean is a product designer who works on personalizing learning experiences at Pluralsight. She is obsessive about using qualitative research to create memorable experiences that marry functionality with aesthetic design, especially in the education space. She also strives to help companies develop design systems, strategies, and processes to create more empathetic and interesting applications for their users.
Before working at Pluralsight Kira informed design and development as a UX engineer and designer at Gradifi, A First Republic Company. She was also a pharmaceutical scientist in a past life, with stints at AstraZeneca and Harvard Medical School. When she’s not designing, she moonlights as an Instagram documentarian, cross-cultural emoji analyst, 90s hip-hop scholar, and aspirational globetrotter.
