Kelvin Teo is the Co-Founder of Funding Societies- Modalku. Founded in 2015, Funding Societies - Modalku is an award-winning digital financing platform that enables SMEs to get unsecured loans and invoice financing, crowdfunded by retail and institutional investors. It is licensed and operating in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia (as Modalku). Backed by Sequoia Capital, it is also the only digital lender in Southeast Asia to be selected as top FinTech 250 firms globally by CB Insights and winner of the Global SME Excellence Award by United Nation's ITU Telecom.Prior to this, Kelvin served as a consulting professional at KKR, McKinsey and Accenture. Kelvin graduated from Harvard Business School and National University of Singapore, and is a certified Chartered Accountant. Kelvin has spoken at major conferences such as LendIt Shanghai, Boao Hainan, Finnovasia Malaysia, AVCJ Singapore and LeadCon Brunei. He has also been featured on Bloomberg, BBC, CNBC and Business Times.
