Data Science Immersive Instructor Associate, General Assembly

Online

Kelly Slatery is a recent graduate of the General Assembly Data Science Immersive in DC and a 2018 graduate of the University of Virginia. She has always been drawn to math- and language-related disciplines, and majored in Cognitive Science and East Asian Studies at UVA. Alongside Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, and French classes, she also took some programming, advanced math, and statistics courses. She spent the year between UVA and GA in Taiwan as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant, and realized that the best way to improve language instruction is through understanding students’ language and information processing. That’s what brought her to DSI as a student and now as an Instructor Associate. She is looking forward to challenging herself and empowering new students with the knowledge and confidence to answer their own data-driven questions!
