Katie Plowman joined Trupanion in 2013. As VP, Product Development, Katie leads the development of Trupanion’s consumer-facing products as well as the systems used by Trupanion’s inside and field sales teams. As a member of the IT Leadership Team, Katie is also responsible for the Program Management Office, working with the executive team in project prioritization and sequencing. As one of the inventors of Trupanion Express™, Katie has worked closely with veterinary hospitals to provide them with technology that improves the overall insurance experience for both pet owners and hospitals, while seamlessly integrating with Trupanion’s back-office systems.
Katie has an extensive background in program management, business analysis, and change management. She has worked on multiple custom-developed software applications, including several for the veterinary industry. Katie has a passion for user-centric design, providing her clients/business partners with products that are intuitive, provide business value, and improve the overall customer experience. Prior to joining Trupanion, Katie worked for Hitachi Consulting and prior to Hitachi Consulting she worked for InFocus in the new product development group.
