Katie McCurdy is a patient and UX designer focused on improving healthcare. As a designer she has consulted with various healthcare start-ups and is now working with a large academic medical center in Vermont to improve patient, family, and healthcare provider experiences. As a patient she has used visualization to communicate better with her healthcare providers about her symptoms and health history. She collects and is inspired by stories of other ‘patients who design’ - who apply their design and problem-solving skills to address their health issues.
