Kate Simmons came to User Experience by accident. Her first gig was content entry at a healthcare organization, which led to content management systems, which led to information architecture, which led to user interaction design and a more comprehensive grasp of User Experience. She has worked both client-side (HealthPartners and U.S. Bank in Minneapolis) and agency. She has worked in the healthcare, retail, service, travel and financial industries. In her current role at Critical Mass, she partners with technology, content strategy, visual design and copywriting to do everything from multi-site consolidation and migration to interaction design for iOS apps.
