Karina van Schaardenburg currently leads Lyft's UX Research for the Passenger Experience & Autonomous Vehicle teams. Lyft's mission is to improve people's lives through the world's best transportation. Through qualitative research, she's seen the impact accessible transportation has for passengers who aren't able to drive and don't have access to reliable public transit. Hearing passengers' stories in their own words has been critical for the success of Lyft's accessibility initiatives.
