    Changing the world, managing top teams and communities, and utilizing strong communication skills are all things that motivate and drive Atlanta Tech Village's Vice President, Karen Houghton. With a Master's Degree in Psychology and career history in both for-profit and non-profits, Karen Houghton is Atlanta Tech Village's Vice President and runs the 4th largest tech hub in the nation, she also enjoys leading workshops to empower and connect women in technology.

    Continuing her work with technology startups, Karen also serves as a Venture Partner with Atlanta Ventures. Atlanta Ventures supports entrepreneurs though early stage investments for startups building software as a service in the southeast.

    Karen has built three companies from the ground up, one of them as a Founder. She has been recognized as one of 39 Atlanta Female Leaders to Follow on Social Media and one of Salesforce’s 10 Small Business Women Who Inspire. Her experiences have helped her impact thousands of lives for good through job creation, funds raised, and increased opportunity.

    Karen also serves as an Advisor for Plywood People, a Board Member for the Kula Project, and on the Board of Visitors for Berry College.
