Kalina King is the Regional Director for General Assembly Asia. Beyond a passion for entrepreneurship and education in every discipline, Kalina first built a career in Asia in finance and investments and has at least ten excel spreadsheets running simultaneously at any given time. Kalina started out in Morgan Stanley and moved onto managing money for ultra-HNW families in Asia before moving to Shanghai to launch a hedge fund to invest in Greater China consumer businesses. As a Portfolio Manager, Kalina focused on consumer staples and retail companies. Kalina has also consulted extensively on edtech and startup operating models.
