Kaela Montgomery (she/her/hers) is a Diversity Equity Inclusion (DEI) Program Manager at Google, where she develops and drives DEI strategy and core programs across the Asia-Pacific region with her team. Prior to Google, Kaela was a DEI program Manager at Meta (previously known as Facebook) where she co-founded and led the Disability@Facebook employee resource group to build inclusive environments for employees and communities with disabilities, and also co-led the Women@Facebook Community team driving community mentorship and development programs for girls and youths. Her other prior experiences include other people-centric roles in talent acquisition, learning and development, and agency sales in Singapore and Tokyo, Japan. Outside of work, Kaela is a passionate supporter of social impact and environmental climate change efforts, and is currently a volunteer mentor for The Asia Foundation, Indonesia, where they are developing a program to empower women in forest stewardship, enhancing economic opportunity while enabling sustainable forestry.
