As Lead Data Science Infrastructure Engineer at Asia Miles, Junjun is responsible for designing and implementing a big data platform to enables their data scientists to do their amazing work. Introducing novel technologies and concepts into an enterprise environment requires finding the balance between being agile and compliant, staying on the leading edge while guaranteeing stability, and integrating the new with the old. It has been, to say the least, interesting.
As Data Solutions Architect at iClick Interactive, Junjun and his team built the company’s big data technology capabilities from the ground up. That platform runs across several geographically located data centers, collectively manages several hundred terabytes of data, and enables prebuilt reports and dashboards, low latency ad hoc analytics, operational models, and real time bidding functions.
