    Josh Rubin is a Peabody and Emmy award-winning journalist, producer, and media executive with more than 15 years of experience in national media. He got his start as an editor for National Geographic and HGTV, before joining CNN in 2005. Over the course of his cable news career he covered breaking news, presidential elections, natural disasters, and produced thousands of hours of television.

    After leaving CNN in 2014, Josh joined the leadership team of the Daily Dot, an Austin-based digital publisher as Managing Director of Video and Creative Strategy. He also founded Media ATX, an organization devoted to breaking down silos between Austin's creative communities and spurring economic development in the larger Austin media scene.
