Joe McNamara is an in-house intellectual property (IP) attorney at Nasdaq, Inc., in the Washington, DC area. At Nasdaq, Joe works to secure patents for Nasdaq’s fintech innovations and trademarks for Nasdaq’s world-famous brand, and supports Nasdaq’s technology transactions and M&A activity from an IP perspective. Prior to Nasdaq, Joe worked as a patent attorney at Apple in Silicon Valley. Joe’s undergraduate degree is in Computer Science; prior to his legal career, he worked for a number of years at a startup as a software developer.
