I've been doing web development for about 5 years now, after leaving a short career as a lab scientist. My first development job was in San Francisco at a design agency, then I did some freelance work, and almost two years ago moved out here to Colorado where I've worked at a couple product-focused companies. During that whole time I've worked on the front-end, and while I am curious about new tools and technologies, most of my motivation comes from great design, fun interactions, and, though it feels like everyone says this, "building an overall great experience".
