Joresa Blount is a journalist who reports on technology and innovation with a niche for profiling CEOs and founders of some of the most disruptive businesses in Silicon Valley. She currently writes for Forbes. After a year of major setbacks in 2015 that included losing two jobs and having a major surgery, Blount created the digital talk show, The Comeback Series. As the host and producer, she interviews women who have had a defining setback that pushed them to go after their God-given purpose. Her passion for women and the tech space has led her to curate events for entrepreneurs and women in tech called Brown Girls Innovate Too.

Blount released her first book, #IChoseMe: Coming Back From Heartbreak and other Bad Relationships, in December 2016. The book is her call to action for women to stop compromising their purpose with toxic relationships, pick up their crown and get back to becoming the woman God is calling her to be. When she’s not working her way to the top, she’s enjoying a good cup of coffee at a cute cafe.

Also can you add in the About This Event section:

Brown Girls Innovate too is a panel series that brings together women tech professionals and newbies to offer information, tools, and networking. If you've already took a dive into creating a startup, work at a startup or thinking about starting a startup then this is for you. Tonight we will focus on legal matters, branding and marketing and the many mistakes that can happen on the entrepreneurial journey. And of course, guys are welcome too!
