Jonathon is the CEO of New Knowledge, a startup using machine learning to model human knowledge and behavior. As part of his ongoing work using quantitative methods to understand and combat extremism, he served as an advisor to the White House and State Department, authored research for the Brookings Institution, The Atlantic, and the Washington Post, and developed new technology for DARPA. Jonathon is also the founder of Data for Democracy, a global volunteer collective of data scientists and technologists working on open data, civic engagement, and social impact projects, and the co-host of Partially Derivative, an unrealistically popular podcast about data science and drinking.
