    Jonathan Gros-Dubois

Jonathan (Jon) Gros-Dubois has had over a decade of experience developing software across a range of industries within startup, corporate and open source environments.

He joined a few startups as an early employee including Mathspace; an Australian ed-tech startup and Gigster; a US-based remote work platform backed by big-name investors including Y Combinator, Andreessen Horowitz, Marc Benioff, Ashton Kutcher and Michael Jordan. Jon also worked as a contractor for large companies in Australia and The Netherlands.

Later, thanks to the adoption of his open source project SocketCluster, Jon managed to 'network' his way into a popular blockchain/cryptocurrency project called Lisk where he lead the network team.

Having raised over 14K Bitcoins during its Initial Coin Offering, Lisk is known for having had one of the most successful ICOs of all time.

Lisk was also a pioneer among energy-efficient blockchains due to its (at the time) innovative 'Delegated Proof of Stake' consensus algorithm.

The success of Poof of Stake later inspired many other major projects to switch to it and this helped to make the blockchain sector more efficient and environmentally friendly.

Jon is passionate about figuring out how systems work and sharing his knowledge to enable others to achieve great things.
