    Johnny is an experienced engineer with an interest in everything from user experience to distributed systems architecture. He specializes in all things JavaScript, but has experience with Java, Go and Python. Johnny is an active member of the open source community - contributing to projects such as Node.js and many more.

    He also enjoys being an advocate for technology through public speaking at conferences and meetups - as well as teaching. He serves as an IT advisory board member for the National Academy Foundation where he helps to ensure students receive the resources necessary to prepare them for industry or higher education. Johnny proudly helps train instructors and guides curriculum development for Black Girls Code (DC) - an organization dedicated to teaching young women of color how to program.

    Currently, Johnny is helping grow and lead the engineering team as Director of Technology at ISL in Washington, DC.
