John is an ex leader of THE ICONIC and Domain. He has been in digital marketing since before Facebook was running ads, Twitter existed and Evan Spiegel was 16 without a clue what SnapChat was – damn it. John was Head of Digital in the early startup days of THE ICONIC – playing a pivotal role in growing revenues by over 100X over the space of 4 years, launching THE ICONIC App and THE ICONIC SPORT. He then led the digital marketing team at Domain, launching Facebook Live auctions and also launching real estate dynamic re-marketing campaigns, both of these being global firsts. He’s also developed digital strategy for brands like Prospa, PE Nation, Domino’s Pizza and P&G.
In the past year, John co-founded ClassBento, a community marketplace for fun learning experiences, from latte art to cocktail making classes which has hundreds of local artisans and makers teaching thousands of students. The startup’s social mission is to reduce corporate burnout and the risks of dementia through increasing accessibility to fun creative workshops. ClassBento has just closed its seed round, with investment from leaders at THE ICONIC, ZipPay, Atlassian, and more.
