John Bartlett is a product management leader and educator who focuses on helping early stage companies and budding product managers reach their full potential.
With a passion for all things product, John has held executive product management and product marketing roles in larger companies as Oracle, Yahoo and Siebel Systems, as well as several VC-funded start-ups. John is currently at Obo, an early-stage company building products for product teams to improve the product planning process.
John draws on his experience in consumer, enterprise and mobile markets to bring a unique perspective to the companies and students that he works with. At General Assembly he leads courses in product management and entrepreneurship. He has also working with the 280 Group, delivering product management training and consulting.
John lives in San Francisco with his best-selling author wife Allison Hoover Bartlett. In his spare time he plays bass guitar and enjoys the insane number of amazing craft beer options in San Francisco, often simultaneously.
