    Senior Managing Consultant, Mastercard

    San Diego

Joseph (Joe) Gallagher helps companies make sense of the space at the intersection of business, cybersecurity, and risk and is currently the Cyber Quant Product Management team lead at Mastercard after Mastercard's acquisition of the Cytegic Cyber Risk Quantification Platform in May 2020.

Joe has previously served as an Active Duty United States Air Force Intelligence Officer.

Joe is responsible for supporting all aspects of Mastercard's strategic customers’ journey as they evaluate, operationalize, and integrate the Cyber Quant quantitative cyber risk management platform into their business and security ecosystems. He works with clients to tailor quantitative cyber, TPRM ecosystem, and insurance risk solutions to organizations representing a third of Fortune 100 companies and engages diverse CxO stakeholder constituencies. Joe leverages his 5+ years with EY’s Cybersecurity practice (serving clients across all verticals) and now at Cytegic focuses on global consulting firms as key channels and clients to install the platform’s multiple cross functional capabilities as a cyber risk quantification (CRQ) service (CRQaaS).

And prior to joining Ernst & Young, Joe was an Active Duty United States Air Force Intelligence Officer and had assignments in Japan, Qatar, and the US mid-west. He accumulated 1800+ flying hours (~1200 hours supporting combat operations) on a United States Air Force signals intelligence collection aircraft, utilizing state of the art interception technologies and conducting real-time qualitative and quantitative analysis of electronic data. His all-source intelligence analysis resulted in time sensitive strategic and technical reports that informed the decisions of senior US national security policy makers.

I'm passionate about helping veterans with their transition journeys and am open to opportunties to mentor, coach and support folks during and after their military transitions and separations.
