Jess Lopez is an experienced web professional with nearly two decades of digital experience. She was managing the web team and a dozen websites for the world’s largest provider of experiential learning before giving birth to her first child. When the baby was faced with medical issues as her husband was preparing to deploy, she asked her employer if she could temporarily go part-time–and was denied. So she turned in her notice and embarked upon an eight-year freelancing journey. Freelancing has enabled her to maintain her career while working from home through multiple military moves. She is currently pursuing her Master's Degree in Digital Media Design and is in the process of opening a center for children to learn how to code.
