Washington, D.C.
Jesse’s job consists of reviewing operational data from nuclear power reactor facilities and identifying significant trends and lessons learned. He spends much of his time wrangling data with python, building visualizations in d3, and presenting insights to staff and all levels of management. He also leads many of the data curation improvement and modernization efforts in his group, where he is affectionately known as "our data guy." Jesse learned python and data science principals on his own, then took the GA Data Science Part Time course not too long ago. He wishes he had taken the course earlier.
Jesse studied mechanical engineering and has acquired extensive experience in thermal sciences, power plant operations, project management, and inspection. He spends much of his free time learning new stuff mostly related to python, web development, data science, and enjoys reading, playing the guitar, traveling, and taking care of his dogs.
