Jess Huang
Product Designer, HandUp
Jess Huang is the Product Designer at HandUp, an online fundraising platform for nonprofits working with homelessness and poverty. Previously, she honed her skills in Human-Centered Design and User Experience at VMware Socialcast, Playhaven and most recently GoPro. After many years in consumer and enterprise products, she decided it was time to use her high levels of empathy for positive change. In addition to her work at HandUp, Jess helps to nurture the next generation of empathic designers by teaching at General Assembly and mentoring through Andreessen-Horowitz’s Gen.D mentorship program. Jess can generally be found researching and designing human-centered and data-driven approaches to poverty alleviation, writing about mental health awareness, eating San Francisco's fantastic food offerings, or snuggling with her little rescue cat.
